CSS Canadian Sleep Society National Conference 2025 @ Centre Sheraton Montreal

We were truly honored to collaborate on the Canadian Sleep Society’s prestigious national conference, held from March 14 to 16, 2025, at the Sheraton Centre in Montreal. This large-scale event brought together over 1,800 stakeholders from the sleep science and medicine community. Over the course of three days, the conference welcomed an international audience of physicians, researchers, specialists, and keynote speakers, all converging around one common goal: to advance knowledge and innovation in the science of sleep.

Our team at Boreal Technique was entrusted with a mission of great magnitude: to manage the complete audiovisual infrastructure across the entire event, while also handling the recording and live webcasting of multiple sessions occurring in parallel. This wasn’t just a service—it was a full-scale technical deployment, requiring strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and rigorous execution.

In total, nine rooms were simultaneously equipped, operated, and monitored by our team. Each space was carefully adapted to the specific needs of the presentations, whether they involved live demonstrations, multimedia integration, virtual guest appearances, or complex panel discussions. Over 200 presentations were delivered throughout the event, and each required flawless sound, lighting, projection, and recording conditions. It was a logistical and technical puzzle, with no margin for error.

What made this mandate particularly challenging—and ultimately rewarding—was the level of detail and precision expected by the client. The Canadian Sleep Society had very specific technical standards, as well as high expectations for the quality of audiovisual delivery. Each room had its own unique layout and content requirements, and several conferences had to be webcast in real-time to virtual audiences around the globe. The coordination of simultaneous recordings and livestreams, across multiple spaces, called for careful orchestration and robust infrastructure.

This event was marked by a series of critical pressure points—moments where every second counted, and every decision had an impact. Our success relied not only on cutting-edge equipment, but above all on the skill, experience, and cohesion of our team. A crew of 18 highly qualified technicians was mobilized for the duration of the event, each assigned to a specific room or responsibility, with additional floating leads overseeing global coordination.

The result? A delivery that not only met the expectations of the client but exceeded them on every front. All rooms operated smoothly throughout the three days. The webcasts were executed without a hitch, allowing attendees from around the world to participate virtually. The recordings were delivered with professional quality and ready for archiving and post-event use. Every challenge, from last-minute schedule changes to complex setup transitions, was managed with agility and precision.

Perhaps the best validation of our performance came immediately after the event: the Canadian Sleep Society confirmed Boréal Technique as its official provider for the World Sleep Conference, set to take place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal in 2027. This global event, even larger in scope, will bring together thousands of participants from over 50 countries—and we’re already looking forward to rising to the challenge once again.

This project was a perfect example of how Boreal Technique thrives under pressure. It demonstrated not only our technical expertise, but also our ability to collaborate closely with clients, adapt quickly to evolving needs, and execute complex mandates with confidence.
